Intended to visit a old friend to have a cook-out session, but ended up staying at home instead when it was called off. Made 2 dishes: leek & ham gratin & some cheese prata. (actually want to use tortillas, but I could not find them..haha).

Food was edible, though the addition of copious amount of cheese called for in the recipe rendered the food rather soggy & cheesy.

Second try at food photography, rather fun.

& here is my setup. I need a better studio-   (p.s. anyone in Singapore know where to get the kind of wires for hanging curtains? Ikea used to sell them but now they only have pole & track for curtains.)

Painted this at Arteastiq at a painting session. I think I need more help in getting colors right. I took a 8-lesson acrylic painting class, but frankly painting is not my talent. I paint in big splotchy swathes of colors and then go over it like a freaking perfectionist, dabbling here and there until the painting looks worse. & I can’t mix colors. Anyway, maybe the fact I suck at it makes it more fun for me cause I don’t have to try too hard.

One thing I really like about Singapore is that there is this waterfront area where music activities take place regularly. & all of them for free. Was a bit too lazy to get a better vantage point. That’s always the thing about events. Do I enjoy the experience, or do I try to make more of an effort in getting better photos..?

Make-believe games are still the best. I’m glad that my friend’s kids still play make-believe games and not just electronic games.

Her sons were playing at trains, a combination of mass transit trains announcements and old -fashioned steam trains loco-motion..

Later we were part of their games – pretending to be toll gates and petrol station attendants. lol
